ACCES_Quantitative and qualitative data on macrofauna in sublittoral sediment samples

Data on macrofauna abundance (number of individuals per 0.1m2) and biomass (grams per 0.1m2) in sediment samples collected in Isfjorden between 23 and 24 of July 2019 with use of a van Veen grab. Two sampling areas were choosen: Gipsvika, an open shallow bay located at the mouth of the Gipsdalselva river (8 stations) and a glacial bay Yoldiabukta (7 stations). At each station 3 replicates were taken for macrofauna. The grab samples were rinsed with seawater through a 500 µm sieve and macrofauna was preserved in 4% formaldehyde solution. Macrofauna was sorted in laboratory and determined to the lowest possible taxon.
