Data were gathered during the vegetative season to ensure optimal visibility of underwater vegetation, enabling identification based solely on visual inspection. Observations were conducted using a combination of a single-beam echosounder and a drop camera deployed from a small vessel capable of operating in shallow waters (as shallow as 1 meter). At each observation point, the presence of all major submerged aquatic vegetation types was recorded.
